Elizabeth Tovar elected to APEX COVID-19 Committee for Meetings Industry Council.

The purpose of the Events Industry Council APEX Commission is to develop and implement industry-wide practices and standards to create and enhance effectiveness and efficiency throughout the global events industry. The APEX Commission, with the guidance of the EIC Board and Council, will convene task forces to address industry-wide issues and develop relevant guidance.

The APEX Commission:

  • Develops and maintains EIC accepted practices operational templates
  • Develops and maintains guidance and reference tools including the industry glossary, risk management guidebook, and virtual and hybrid meetings guidebook
  • Integrates task force recommendations into EIC templates
  • Convenes industry task forces, as required, to address industry-wide issues
